This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from www.gigizanti.com or www.gigipatterns.com, what we do with it, and what rights you have over it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you browse the site. We automatically collect information about your device, including your browser, IP address, time zone, and the cookies installed on your device. We also collect information about the pages and products you look at, what site or search brought you here, and how you move around the site. We call this Device Information.

We collect it using cookies, log files that record actions on the site, and small tracking files sometimes called web beacons, tags or pixels.

When you buy something. We collect your name, billing address, delivery address, payment information, email address and phone number. We call this Order Information.

When you ask us for sizing help. If you send us measurements such as your bust, waist or hip so we can tell you which size to choose, we use them only to answer that question. We do not use them for marketing, we do not sell or share them, and we do not publish them. Once we have answered you they are of no further use to us, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

When you email us or sign up. We collect your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to put in your message.

HOW WE USE IT

We use your Order Information to fulfil your order. That means taking payment, arranging delivery, sending you order confirmations and invoices, delivering your digital files, and contacting you about your order.

We also use it to check orders for fraud, and, where you have agreed to hear from us, to send you information about our patterns, products and classes.

We use Device Information to screen for fraud, and to understand how people use the site so we can improve it and see whether our advertising is working.

OUR LEGAL BASIS

Under UK data protection law we have to tell you why we are allowed to process your information.

To fulfil your order and provide what you paid for, we rely on performing our contract with you.

To prevent fraud, keep the site working and understand how it is used, we rely on our legitimate interests in running the business safely and sensibly.

To send you marketing emails and to use advertising and analytics cookies, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

To keep records for tax and accounting, we rely on our legal obligations.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal information.

We share it with the companies that help us run the business:

Shopify hosts our online shop and processes orders. Their privacy policy is at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Payment providers. We accept cards through Shopify Payments, and we also accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna. Your card details go to the payment provider, not to us. We never see or store your full card number.

Delivery companies. For physical orders we pass your name, address and contact details to Royal Mail, DPD or DHL so they can deliver your parcel.

Omnisend sends our marketing emails and holds your email address and subscription preferences.

Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used. Google's privacy policy is at https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can opt out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Meta receives information through the Meta Pixel on our site, which we use to measure and target advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

We may also share information where the law requires it, for example to respond to a lawful request from an authority, or to protect our rights.

ADVERTISING

We use the Meta Pixel and Google's advertising tools to show you adverts that may interest you, and to see whether our advertising works.

SENDING INFORMATION OUTSIDE THE UK

Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep order records for seven years, because tax law requires it.

We keep any measurements you send us for sizing help only as long as we need them to answer you, and we delete them sooner if you ask.

We keep marketing email addresses until you unsubscribe.

We keep website analytics data for up to two years.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it deleted.

You can also ask us to restrict how we use it, object to us using it, and ask for it in a portable format so you can take it elsewhere.

You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time, either by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by emailing us.

To use any of these rights, email contact @ gigizanti .com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

CHILDREN

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time, to reflect changes in how we work or for legal reasons. The version on this page is always the current one.
